Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at a Utah college. Kirk was a top podcaster, culture warrior and ally of President Donald Trump. Kirk was speaking at a debate hosted by his nonprofit political organization at Utah Valley University on Wednesday when authorities said the shooter fired from a roof. Officials say the shooter targeted the attack at one person. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox called the killing a 鈥減olitical assassination.鈥 The governor says a 鈥減erson of interest鈥 was in custody though no charges were immediately announced. Officials had no information indicating a second person was involved.
